Greeley, PA – Auto-Ordnance is proud to announce the release of two new additions to its Winged Warriors series: the "Memphis Belle 1911" and the "Red Tails 1911". These commemorative firearms soar in honor of the fearless fighter and bomber pilots who dominated the skies during World War II, paying tribute to America's Greatest Generation. Artwork is by the artisans at Altered Arsenal. Each pistol ships with one magazine and is chambered in .45 ACP.

The "Memphis Belle" 1911

This stunning custom pistol pays tribute to the legendary WWII Boeing B-17F Flying Fortress, the "Memphis Belle," one of the most famous symbols of the US Army Air Corps. Expertly finished in durable Cerakote, the slide features OD Green echoing the aircraft's livery, with the iconic "Memphis Belle" name in classic Corvette Yellow script alongside military lettering and the star roundel. The opposite side proudly displays mission tally marks mirroring the original bomber's markings. Complementing the themed slide is a Cerakote Savage Stainless frame with black controls. The "Red Tails" 1911

Capture the spirit and heroism of the Tuskegee Airmen with this meticulously detailed pistol, with artwork based on the P-51C Mustang fighter planes flown by these incredibly skilled warriors. Finished in durable Cerakote, the slide features Cerakote Savage Stainless as its base, masterfully distressed with Cerakote Armor Black to accentuate the riveted panels of the iconic Mustang. It proudly displays the specific aircraft markings number "72", the name "'Ina' Macon Belle", and a cool cat design paying tribute to a famous ace. The US Army Air Forces roundel is authentically recreated, and further fighter-specific details include a bold Cerakote “Red Tails” marking near the rear, and distinctive Cerakote USMC Red and Corvette Yellow squadron identification banding around the muzzle. Contrasting with the slide, the frame has complementary black for controls and accents. The custom wood grips feature an inset winged star emblem, echoing the Army Air Forces insignia.
