(Pillager, MN) - Magnum Research, Inc, maker of the world-famous Desert Eagle pistol and leader in innovative firearms design and manufacturing, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the Steel Target Paint Team.

The Steel Target Paint Team was founded by Larry Joe Steeley, Jr. The team competes in Steel Challenge and USPSA shooting matches. The twenty-eight team members are led by Team Captain Steven Foster.

Foster was born in rural upstate New York, learned a love and respect for shooting sports at a young age. Even into adult life with work and family, Foster found time to continue his passion for shooting. His shooting hobby evolved to Rimfire pistols and rifles which led him to the steel target world. Foster has served as the Team Captain of the Steel Target Paint Shooting Team since 2016. He took first place a total of seventeen times in the Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina and Florida state-level matches.  In March 2017, he was selected to be on the cover of USPSA’s Front Sight magazine with a five page interview inside. Concluding the 2019 season, he placed on the podium 40 times with 15 titles tallying his 74th career major win. Foster hopes to encourage growth for the sport that he loves and wants to pass on his enthusiasm to the next generation of shooters.
