A Tireless Crusader for Liberty

(Greeley, PA) - Kahr Firearms Group is proud to announce that CEO and founder Justin Moon is the 2021 recipient of the “Gun Rights Defender of the Year Award”!  This recognition was given by the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.  With more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms ( www.ccrkba.org) is one of the nation's premier gun rights organizations.  Justin Moon works tirelessly in support of the Second Amendment, participating in gun rights events both locally and on the national level.  He is a frequent face and voice at gun rallies, as well as campaigning for patriotic politicians.  The Moon family had personal experience at the cost of living in a society without essential liberties, when his father was placed in a concentration camp by communists during the Korean War.  Justin has made it a personal crusade to ensure that never happens in America.  When asked to comment on his award, Justin stated “I am deeply honored to be recognized for my work to promote and preserve the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.  Without this guarantee on our freedom, the American people cannot be certain to have a future for our children where liberty is an essential component of our way of life.”

Inventor and Entrepreneur

Justin Moon is well known as the inventor of the Kahr K9 pistol, the first widely successful production subcompact 9mm handgun.  In 1992, Moon graduated magna cum laude from Harvard with a degree in economics, and went on to attend graduate school at the University of Miami, where he earned an MBA in 1993. In addition to founding Kahr Arms that year, Justin went on to purchase both Auto-Ordnance and Magnum Research, leading to the creation of Kahr Firearms Group.  “Justin Moon’s unquestionable support for the Second Amendment cause certainly justifies our recognition of his efforts,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb. “He’s not just a devoted shooter, he’s a gun designer and builder. More than that, he is outspoken about freedom and individual liberty, which he has discussed during on-air interviews, and we are delighted to recognize his efforts.”
